This Travel Blogger Is Talking About All Of The Things That Terrify Plus-Size People When Traveling

The different kinds of chairs used in certain vacation spots can be difficult for plus-size people, like the stackable white, monobloc chairs that can easily break.

But Kirsty Leanne tries to help plus-size travelers learn how to make accommodations for themselves so that they can avoid these issues.

Videos like how to ask for a seatbelt extender and tips for booking the right seat on a flight ahead of time.

Some of Kirsty Leanne’s videos have received backlash from hateful commenters, claiming that Kirsty’s advice will only lead to other passengers on the plane being inconvenienced and that plus-sized people should simply ‘control’ their weight before traveling.

Kirsty Leanne responded to the criticism in one of her videos, writing that plus-sized people often are scared of flying because they worry about disturbing others.

“We spend the entire time trying to make ourselves smaller and apologizing for the lack of space,” she writes.

“I’m sorry if that doesn’t fit your narrative that all fat people are trying to inconvenience you at every chance they get.”

“We want everyone to be comfortable.”
