She was sick and tired of standing by and saying nothing, so after her friend went through her latest breakup, she got honest with her.
She let her friend know that it was time to find guys who weren’t as attractive but that had nicer personalities.
“She asked if I meant guys more in her league and I said yes and then realized that might be hurtful,” she continued.
“She laughed and said, “you’re right but I don’t like ugly guys.” She was being silly but I could tell that she was hurt and felt I called her ugly.”
She changed the topic, but in hindsight, she feels terrible for what she said to her friend. In the past, she has attempted to be subtle and kind with her dating advice but it hasn’t worked.
Was it wrong of her to be so blunt with her friend?
