When they were absent, the roommate caused “at least $1000 of property damage,” according to Thempress’ account.
She had cut the power chords to most of the electronic appliances, including a pressure cooker and an “expensive lamp,” they shared in the video.
Apparently, the roommate’s movers had attempted to take the lamp, and Thempress guessed that “she was mad that she couldn’t steal my lamp” and decided to get revenge by destroying it.
“This woman is in her mid-thirties,” Thempress shared, exasperated with the situation.
However, matters worsened when Thempress called the police to report an infraction on their recently imposed restraining order.
Since Thempress hadn’t “seen” the roommate inflict the damages, they couldn’t prove she had violated the terms of their agreement.
At least they’re in a better living situation and, hopefully, never have to deal with a roommate like her again.
