What Jenn said in response to that was, well, rather strange.
“…She told me that since she allowed me to date her crush it’s only fair that she gets to pick the name of our first child,” she explained.
“Which I honestly find beyond ridiculous she didn’t even tell me that she liked the guy I was dating until I became engaged to him and she also continuously commented on how ugly she thought he was and even if that was the case, her logic still doesn’t make sense.”
After that conversation with Jenn, her mom and dad called her up to berate her for being self-centered and for hurting Jenn’s feelings.
Over the phone, her mom and dad said she needs to name her baby after her sister, as Jenn won’t ever know what it’s like to have her own kids.
If you’re curious as to why she hasn’t thrown all of her family members out of her life, she added that she’s hoping her mom and dad will “prove” that they really do love her “one day.”
She’s left wondering if she’s the worst for not wanting to name her baby Jenn. Do you think she should honor her family’s request, or pick whatever name she wants her daughter to have?
