A Guy Helped Her Get A New Job And Then Expected Her To Do Something For Him In Return

His response was a little out of pocket. “Netflix and chill to celebrate?” For those that don’t know what ‘Netflix and chill’ means, it is where people watch Netflix, and the activities change from the TV, to the bedroom; essentially a hook-up.

If they were more than friends this response might seem normal for their interactions. Her next response obviously doesn’t lead me to believe that they are anything more than friends.

“No! WTF?”  He goes on to ask why not.

She has a boyfriend so obviously she wouldn’t even entertain the idea.

“So? I’ve known you for way longer and…you kind of owe me,” he replies.

Who in their right mind would help someone get a job and claim that she owes him favors while she is in a committed relationship with another guy?

“I’m just saying you never would’ve gotten the job without me putting in a good word for you I figure this is the least you can do to say thank you for everything I’ve done for you,” he continued.

“Other guys have had you on your knees for nothing but I get ghosted after everything I’ve done for you, really?”

“This can be the dream job you’ve always wanted or I can make it a living hell. It’s up to you.”

This, to me, sounds like a threat and should be taken to the HR department. And many commentators suggested the same thing.

Many said that she should create a paper trail while emailing HR, his supervisor, and anyone else that would need to be notified for harassment.
