And considering the last text message she had received from the guy insinuating they would not see each other again, Rebekah was at a loss about what to do.
So, she just literally never responded and went to bed.
After she woke up around 5:00 a.m. the next morning, though, Rebekah realized the man had texted her again– but this time, with a snarky and accusatory message.
“I guess not. Guess you’re ghosting me then,” the text read.
This was shocking to Rebekah– who had no intention of ghosting him but just simply had no clue what to say after receiving the totally unwarranted photo.
So, she was perhaps too nice about it and just told the guy that she was not ghosting him– she had just fallen asleep– and that she hoped he had a good trip.
Surprise, surprise, though; the man never responded. So, about twelve hours later, Rebekah decided to text him again.
And this time, she included a photo of herself in pajamas while holding a glass of wine and reiterated that she hoped the man was enjoying himself.
But, when she was left without a response again, Rebekah realized the man was pissed. And she was not having it.
“I am a big advocate for being open, honest, and having clear communication. So if there was an issue, I wanted him to tell me about it,” she said.
In turn, she decided to send him another message before bed. But this time, it was a voice note basically asking if everything was okay, followed by a message detailing how him not replying was a jerky thing to do.
