And, even in the wake of the #MeToo movement, the source called Pamela an “exception to the rule” in society’s eyes.
So, in response to the Hulu series, Pamela teamed up with Netflix in an attempt to tell her own story once and for all.
Announced on March 2, Netflix advised viewers to leave their biases behind before viewing the documentary.
“Baywatch star? Canadian icon? Animal rights activist? Playboy model? Nineties tabloid staple? Forget what you think you know about Pamela Anderson,” the company’s press release began.
“Along with exclusive interviews with Anderson herself, viewers will have access to never-before-seen archival footage and personal journals to unpack her experience in Hollywood and beyond– in her own words this time,” Netflix continued.
The streaming service has not yet announced when the documentary will be released.
However, supporters of Pamela are hopeful that her perspective will be heard and that the never-ending string of judgments against her will finally be laid to rest.
