He Finally Told His Siblings That Their Mother Was The One Who Had An Affair And Ruined Their Parents’ Marriage, Not Their Father
This twenty-two-year-old man has three siblings– two brothers, who are eighteen and fifteen, and a little sister, who is twelve.
And after their parents split up six years ago, all of his siblings saw their father as the bad guy. But, only he knew the real truth behind their failed marriage.
Apparently, his mother, who was forty-two at the time, had been having an affair with his best friend’s father. Then, when his dad found out about the cheating, his mother was kicked out of their home.
This led her to move in with his best friend’s father and caused two marriages to disintegrate right before his eyes.
But, his siblings had no clue about their mother’s infidelity. Instead, they just saw their dad as this villain who had kicked their mom out of their home.
So, his fifteen-year-old brother and twelve-year-old sister went to live with his mom and only visited his dad on the weekends. At the same time, he and his eighteen-year-old brother continued living at home.
However, the brother who decided to stay still did not know what had happened– they just had a closer relationship with his father from the start.
And finally, he was just left caught in the middle.
“I visited my mom as often as I could, and she seemed happy to have me. But, I was the only one who knew what happened,” he explained.

“And my dad never bad-talked my mother and never let my siblings know why they split– even if he had been seen as the bad guy.”
At the same time, though, he realizes that his mother has never taken any accountability for her actions. And this became a huge issue recently after his dad announced his nuptials.
About six months after his mother and father split, his father met a woman named Rose, and they began dating. Now, his father and Rose are set to get married in October.
But, after his father told his siblings that he wanted them to be there, his siblings started giving his father a really hard time.
“They started being so mean to him and basically shaming him for getting married. And, they accused him of cheating because he started dating Rose so long ago,” he said.
So, knowing the truth, he could not just let his siblings treat his father that way any longer. He ended up first asking them to stop– especially since his father is not confrontational.
However, they did not cut it out. Instead, his siblings then had the nerve to continue accusing Rose of being the reason why their parents were no longer together.
This pushed him to finally spill the beans and tell his brothers and sister that their mother was actually the one who was disloyal and had cheated on their father years ago.
Immediately afterward, all of their faces went bright red, and they began asking him if he was joking.
But, he underscored that he was not lying, and, two days later, all of his siblings showed up at his father’s house and asked to live there again.
Apparently, they had confronted his mom and her new husband about what had happened and learned the whole sad truth.
Afterward, though, he kind of felt guilty for turning over old stones and reached out to his mother to see if everything was okay. But, she did not answer the phone, so he went to her house.
And once there, he realized that his mother was being super distant. Then, his mother’s new husband even called him a total jerk for telling his siblings about the affair and making them hate her.
So now, he is not sure if telling his siblings the truth was the right thing to do.
He knows that this is really tough on his mother and hates seeing his family go through turmoil again.
At the same time, though, he did not want his father or Rose to continue being regarded as the “evil” people in his parents’ downfall.
Do you think he should feel bad about setting the record straight? Should the responsibility ever have fallen to him as a child? If you had been in his shoes, what would you have done?
