But that was until his girlfriend accidentally left one of her bank statements out in the apartment, and he found out that she actually had $40,000 in her savings account.
He was dumbfounded after seeing that and started questioning why he was paying so much more than her when she had way more money put away than he did.
So, he decided to bring up her savings account after they got into an argument about money, and his girlfriend was really angry.
In fact, she accused him of snooping around in her personal belongings. Then, she said that since he makes double her salary, he should be paying for most of the expenses.
So now, he is at a loss about what to do. He does not want to be covering everything if his girlfriend is able to contribute. Still, though, he is not sure if asking her to pitch in after seeing her back account was a jerky thing to do.
