Her Sister Took A Family Heirloom From Her Adopted Daughter And Claimed She Wasn’t Real Family

Anyway, the afternoon came and went, and Lily eventually got home about an hour after dinner time. But, instead of being cheery, her daughter barely said hello before just going up to their bedroom.

At first, she assumed that perhaps Lily was just tired. So, she did not immediately go to see what was wrong.

Later that night, though, she did go to talk to Lily, and after walking into her daughter’s bedroom, she noticed that Lily had been crying.

And after pushing Lily to share what made her so upset, it came out that Mia actually took back the sapphire ring.

“Mia took the ring from her because it’s a ‘family’ heirloom that is supposed to go to the ‘actual’ oldest daughter. And because I adopted Lily, that meant my daughter was not really family,” she recalled.

Obviously, hearing that from their favorite aunt broke Lily’s heart. And she was utterly infuriated as Lily’s mother.

However, she was not able to immediately go to Mia’s apartment and get the ring back because she had to spend the entire evening reassuring Lily that she really was family. How gutwrenching.

So, come the following morning, she ended up leaving Mia a voicemail telling her sister to return the ring or else she was going to drive over there and get it herself. Still, though, Mia did not understand how inappropriate her behavior had been.

Instead, Mia just texted back and said that she would only hand over the ring if she gave birth to a daughter before she did. Plus, Mia claimed that they would be keeping the ring safe until then to make sure it did not go to “the wrong person.”

This understandably only angered her more. So, she gave Mia one last chance and said that if the ring was not returned by 2:00 p.m. that day, she would contact the police.

After that, though, Mia started blowing up her phone like crazy and accusing her of being ridiculous.
