While you hear her voiceover in her video, she is picking up the clutter in her room and dusting off her bedside table after procrastinating cleaning for too long–something that we can all relate to.
“I’ve let my home go to s***,” she said. “But being that the sole purpose of me quitting my job was to focus on my mental health, it would be remiss of me to try and do that in clutter.”
The things that she talked about in this video and the clips that she showed resonated with many people: 60.5K of them, to be exact.
“I can relate to this so much. I love transparent videos,” one user commented.
There were mass amounts of comments about how people have lived this same exact experience in recent months. Many of them thanked her for posting a video like this, showing them that they are not alone.
“Thank you for being so real because I can certainly relate! You got this!!” one commenter wrote.
Another said, “I did this in May, and it was the best decision. Now I’m working a job I absolutely love.”
What @thematerialshizz is documenting is only a small part of this bigger wave. But it is one that is important in our changing world and hopefully will lead to a better work culture in America.
