One avenue Leanne’s family has turned to is social media in hopes of raising awareness about her case. They created a Facebook group entitled “Missing Leanne Eller” to continually share the details of Leanne’s disappearance with community members.
Leanne’s daughter also created a Twitter account @MissingLeanneCE. There, she shares her frustrations and hopes regarding her mother’s case progression.
“Five years later. Fifteen years later. Fifty years. How long will it be? How long will it take for Leanne and her case to be at peace?” her daughter began in a tweet on May 17.
“I will never forget her case. Being a daughter of a missing mom, I never could have prepared for such an odd life. Our family and I will live on, but so will Leanne’s spirit. We will never stop pleading for justice. We will never forget.”
Leanne was five-foot-three, weighed ninety pounds, and had ash brown hair and blue eyes.
If you have any information regarding her disappearance or whereabouts, you are urged to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
