Plus, in order to keep up with the lie about Kelly, he has been forced to pretend as though he is having an affair!
He always tells the coworker that he can only see her briefly from time to time to be intimate because of Kelly, and that is it.
Just recently, though, his worker began broaching the topic of them getting serious, and he was forced to reveal that he would not be leaving his girlfriend– who, again, does not exist.
His coworker did not like hearing that, though, and actually snapped at him. Then, she claimed that she was going to expose him to everyone!
“We haven’t worked together for a year. My folks are dead, my siblings live in a different state, and I have a handful of platonic friends. She is hunting ghosts right now,” he revealed.
So now, he feels like a total moron and has no idea what to do about the situation. And to be honest, the only two options he can think of are to either move away or somehow concoct an even bigger lie to keep this snowball rolling.
Can you imagine being stuck in an imaginary relationship for two years? Would you have ever taken the lie so far? Could he possibly just pretend he broke up with “Kelly” and does not want to see anyone else right now– or might that end badly? If you were in his shoes, what would you do?
