This happened with the next six or seven friends that she tried to visit. When she would look through their windows to see if anyone was there, she noticed that any photos on the wall would stare right at her with creepy smiles.

“The best way I can think to describe it is that it felt like I was being toyed with by something playfully malevolent,” she explained. “If that makes any sense at all.”

When she finally made her way back home, her family had returned, and she felt safe again. No other creepy things happened, and when she went back to her friend’s houses, the photos were normal.

“I can’t decide whether I’d worked myself up into a state of near delusion of if something else had actually happened,” she said. “I guess I’ll never know.”
