What Eric Lloyd, Who Played Charlie Calvin In The Beloved Film “The Santa Clause,” Is Up To Now: Spoiler Alert, He Has Moved Behind The Camera

And to call the original movie a slam dunk would be an understatement. After premiering, the film earned a whopping $145 million and was so widely beloved that Disney decided to release two more: The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.

Both of these films were also big hits– earning $139 million and $84.5 million, respectively.

Now, as of this holiday season, Disney has announced the release of a sequel miniseries, The Santa Clauses, on Disney+.

The series has six episodes in total, four of which have already been released on the streaming platform.

And for anyone who was worried that the original cast might get switched up, there is no need to fear: Tim Allen will stay on as Scott Calvin.

Additionally, David Krumholtz will again star as Bernard the Elf, and Elizabeth Mitchell has returned as Mrs. Claus.

As for Eric, he may be much older now, but he will still be making a guest appearance in the second episode of the series. Phew!

Aside from his extremely successful stint in holiday films, though, Eric has since moved on to pursue other passions– including filmmaking and music.

He graduated from Chapman University in California with a bachelor of fine arts degree in Film Production and later worked on the production of feature films– such as Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2 and Hijacked. Eric also worked on location for live music events.

And through these experiences, he cultivated a strong skillset for film and music post-production– specializing in editing, videography, production sound mixing, post-production audio design and audio mixing, and mixing for music professionals.

Finally, with this breadth of knowledge, Eric leaned into his entrepreneurial spirit and went into business for himself. In 2014, he established and launched LP Studios, which provides post-production services for both films and music.
