His Pregnant Fiancée Refused To Help Him Search For His Dog, Which Escapes At Least Once Every Week, So He Called Her Heartless, And Now She’s Furious

This man’s 28-year-old fiancée is currently five months pregnant. And at this point in her pregnancy, his fiancée has been feeling quite nauseous and fatigued lately.
The pair also has a 6-year-old dog that is a heeler and corgi mix. Unfortunately, though, his pup apparently “runs off” at least one time every single week.
Now, when this happens, he claims that his fiancée will usually help him find the dog.
“But it’s not without protest,” he revealed.
He was also pretty dumbfounded regarding how the dog was even getting out of their fenced yard in the first place.
So he ended up installing cameras and learned that the pup had actually just been scaling their eight-foot fence without any problems. This led him to attach “spinners” to the top of the fence– but, according to him, even that did not solve the issue.
He came to this realization after he brought his dog outside recently. Then, while they were playing together, he heard his phone ringing inside.
He claims that he only went inside long enough to just grab his phone. Still, even in that short amount of time, his dog managed to escape the yard again.
So, he immediately ran outside and started searching for the pup. And since he was only inside for a short time, he figured that the dog could not have gotten that far.

Unfortunately, though, he was wrong, and he could not find the pet anywhere. This pushed him to run back inside and ask his pregnant fiancée, who had been curled up on the couch, to help him search.
But, according to him, she immediately told him no and claimed that she was sick and tired of chasing the dog. She also reportedly said that she would not deal with it anymore and told him that he should have been watching the pup more diligently.
At that point, he tried to explain how he had been watching the dog and only stepped away for two seconds to grab his phone when the dog escaped. Still, though, his fiancée did not care about the reasoning.
Instead, his fiancée again claimed that the situation was not her problem. She also said that she would not be exhausting herself just to search for the dog anymore.
“I won’t even say it was unexpected because, as I said, in the past, she has always had a problem with helping me search,” he explained.
“But, she has never said no. She just complained about it.”
Regardless, he ended up going outside to search by himself for about half an hour. Then, after he still could not find the dog, he reportedly went back inside and asked his fiancée for help again.
That time, though, she apparently snapped at him. She reiterated how she said no, and claimed that she was done chasing their dog around multiple times each week while she was already exhausted and constantly throwing up.
Still, he was pretty panicked and admitted to “unleashing some yelling” on his fiancée. More specifically, he had the nerve to call her a jerk who lacked empathy. He also claimed that he was “thoroughly disappointed” with his decision to marry someone so heartless.
Now, in hindsight, he knows that he was wrong for being so cold to his fiancée.
“It was out of pure fear and panic on my part, and I did apologize later after I found my dog,” he recalled.
His fiancée was not very satisfied, though. Since then, he has seemingly confided in his family members about the situation. And he claims that nearly everyone took his side.
Well, that was except for his sister, who told him that he was a total jerk. His sister claimed that it was not his pregnant fiancée’s responsibility to “chase his mutt” around. Moreover, his sister revealed how if her boyfriend ever said those horrible things to her, then she would leave immediately.
So now, with both his fiancée and sister seriously angry with him, he has been left wondering whether screaming at his fiancée for not helping him find his dog really makes him a jerk or not.
If his dog is known to escape, why do you think he has not put a harness and leash on the pup? Is it his responsibility to train or at least watch the dog fully, or is it his fiancée’s responsibility to keep searching for the pet every week? If you were in his fiancée’s shoes, would you be hurt by everything he said also? How can he reconcile this situation?
