She was really disappointed with her son’s attitude and how he’s learned to look down on people who do manual labor.
“I thought the best way to teach him more respect and appreciation was to sign him up to volunteer at the zoo, so that’s what I did,” she explained. “I found a ‘zookeeper for a week’ program at a zoo not far from here and enrolled him.”
Her son was very upset to hear about his enrollment in the program, but she firmly believes that a week of zookeeper work will give him a new perspective on how complicated the job is and that he should learn to be more respectful of hard workers.
Now, her ex-husband is giving her grief about the program too, which has led her to believe that he’s responsible for her son’s attitude. So she’s deciding to hold her ground and keep her son enrolled in the program.
Do you think enrolling her son in the zookeeper program was a good idea?
