One of her friends did approach her ex and questioned him about if he had told his new girlfriend who she is. Her ex admitted that he had not, but he mentioned he would get around to it. She seriously doubts that her ex did explain who she was to his new girlfriend.
Anyway, things at her party got really strange because her ex’s new girlfriend then tried to make out with her, so she walked right off.
The day after her birthday, her ex sent her a message saying he appreciated her being alright with him showing up.
He then apologized for making things awkward or messing up her party before saying it was really nice to be able to see her once again.
“After that, he just kept saying it was nice to see me and then asked if I would want to hang out, I said I wouldn’t feel comfortable, and he said okay, well, let’s catch up when the time is right,” she said.
“I don’t know if he’s just being nice, but I don’t really understand why you would show up to your ex’s birthday uninvited with your new partner without telling your partner the history and why he suddenly wants to be friends again. He never wanted to be friends before, but now he wants to make amends or something.”
Do you think she should entertain being friends with him?
