This 28-year-old guy has been dating his girlfriend, who is 26, for about three years. And while he claims that their relationship isn’t perfect, he “thinks” they are good.

He currently owns a home; meanwhile, his girlfriend has her own great apartment. And recently, she decided to go on a trip together with her family.

But his girlfriend does not fly often. So, the day before she left for the trip, he paid $100 to get his girlfriend an Uber and comfort food for the flight.

The following day, his girlfriend left for the airport. However, her flight wound up getting delayed, so he texted her the entire time for reassurance.

And that evening, she ultimately just stayed at a hotel for the night. While there, she apparently met a couple and hung out with them.

“She said she enjoyed the day,” he recalled.

Anyway, she returned home from her trip this past Wednesday afternoon, and they made plans to meet up this weekend.

Right now, meeting up otherwise isn’t super easy since they live 30 minutes away from each other, and the trip involves tolls.

Ever since his girlfriend got home, though, he has noticed that she’s had a bit of an attitude.

Then, out of the blue, she started grilling him about why he didn’t call her when she was at the hotel and why he didn’t check to make sure that the couple she hung out with was not trying to do anything weird.

“Why I didn’t do this or that,” he added, “And I was just like, I apologize; I thought you would call me. You were on vacation.”

After all, he had no clue when his girlfriend would be free or busy. But she didn’t seem to agree with his explanation or accept his apology. Instead, she just responded, “Whatever.”

Regardless, he still thinks that his explanation was reasonable and that there was clearly just a miscommunication.

And on top of his girlfriend’s attitude about that, they’ve also gotten into another argument related to her vacation. This time, it even involves money.

All of a sudden, his girlfriend started talking about how she spent a bit too much money on her trip. Then, she claimed to need $200 from him.

At that point, he asked if his girlfriend was asking for a sort-of loan. But all she said was, “Not a loan. Some money for your girlfriend.” Yikes.

He tried to explain how he actually wouldn’t mind loaning her the money and giving her a long time to pay it back. But she kept insisting that $200 would have to be a gift.

So, he was honest and opened up about how he just didn’t feel comfortable handing out a couple of hundred dollars like that. While he does make a lot of money, that’s just not something he does.

“I wouldn’t mind spending money on her together, but I’m not a piggy bank,” he said.

He also pointed out how he didn’t even know if he was seeing his girlfriend the next day. Then, he asked why she didn’t think to just ask for the money in person and claimed he really didn’t want to feel used.

Now, he admitted that he would have actually given her the money had the circumstances been different.

“But I feel like she’s weaponizing my feelings for her and the fact that I haven’t seen her for three weeks,” he vented.

“So, I’m pretty upset right now and half-ready to break up because I feel manipulated.”

Still, before he pulls the plug on his relationship, he’s been left wondering if there’s another way to handle this situation.

Would you ever demand money from someone, even if you were in a dire situation and really needed it? Or would you be apologetic and work to find a solution that works on both sides? Why do you think his girlfriend is acting so entitled? Do you feel like this relationship is worth staying in or not?
