She Wore A White Dress At Her Birthday Party Two Weeks Before Her Brother-In-Law Was Set To Get Married, And Now The Bride-To-Be Is Threatening To Uninvite Her From The Wedding

“To be honest, I swear on my grandma’s grave that I didn’t think about any of this,” she explained.

Regardless, her sister-in-law accused her of “always” wearing inappropriate clothing that tends to draw attention to herself. So, following her birthday party, her sister-in-law demanded to see what she planned to wear to the wedding.

She decided to ask if her sister-in-law was also checking all of the other guests’ outfits. But, obviously, that wasn’t the case, and she wound up refusing to let her sister-in-law check her outfit.

Since then, she’s been called a jerk not just for wearing white on her birthday but also for refusing to show her sister-in-law the dress she got for the ceremony.

On top of that, her brother-in-law and his fiancée have even threatened to uninvite both her and her husband from the event!

This has pushed her husband to feel torn about the situation, and she’s at a loss, too.

“I don’t know. I think I’d rather have my husband go alone than be treated like a child,” she vented.

Still, with her and her husband’s invitations to the wedding now in jeopardy, she’s been left wondering whether wearing white at her birthday party was really the wrong thing to do.

Did she have a right to wear anything she wanted to her own birthday party? Is there some sort of rule about wearing white leading up to a wedding or not? Do you think she should now have to show her sister-in-law the dress she got for the wedding or not? How would you handle this situation?
