This past year, this 25-year-old woman, her sister, 19, and her cousin, 24, got married.

She had been planning her wedding over the last three years, and her wedding date was set for the end of last year.

Meanwhile, her cousin got engaged the year prior to her wedding, which took place last summer.

On the other hand, her sister’s wedding was planned at rapid speed, and her wedding was the first of the three, which happened last June.

“She and her husband have a great relationship and decided to get married to ‘start things right’ with their kid, as both they and my extended family are Christian and believe married parents are important to a child’s upbringing,” she said.

By the time her sister was six months pregnant, it was June, and her hope was to plan her wedding quickly before her daughter was born.

Because the wedding was being planned on such short notice, her sister and her fiancé booked the first venue that had availability. Even though they were on a time crunch, everything came together, and they had a beautiful wedding. More impressively, her sister and her fiancé did all of the planning themselves.

“The challenge is that the wedding was exactly one week before my cousin’s. My cousin hadn’t told us the date until the venue was booked, and we only found out when she freaked because my sister was ‘taking over,'” she explained.

Then, her cousin uninvited both her and her sister from her wedding. After that, her cousin yelled at her sister, claiming that she believed she planned things so quickly because she wanted to make sure she got married before they did.

“She also called my sister’s child an abomination and said that it was ungodly. Despite all this, my sister still extended an invitation to her wedding, which my cousin refused to come to,” she shared.

After that, things got worse. Her cousin was somehow able to get their whole side of the family to believe her story that her sister purposely got pregnant and planned her wedding quickly as a vengeful plot to get married before the two of them. But her sister didn’t care that she had her wedding first. Her only motivation to get married so soon was because of her upcoming due date.

Unfortunately, to her surprise, her grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles all sided with her cousin in the situation. So, she came up with a plan.

Her wedding was set to take place last December. The venue she and her fiancé booked was small so that they could have a more intimate ceremony. The space only had room for 30 people, including their bridal party.

Before all of the drama, she’d planned for both her cousin and sister to be her bridesmaids. But once her cousin started badmouthing her sister, she told her cousin that she would no longer be a bridesmaid or even be allowed to attend her wedding.

This meant that her sister, who was her maid of honor, was also the only bridesmaid, and her sister was the flower girl.

Along with uninviting her cousin, she also uninvited the rest of her cousin’s family. After her wedding, her family didn’t agree with her decision to cut her cousin and her cousin’s family out of her special day. However, she stands by her actions.

What would you have done if you were in her shoes?
