He Met A Woman On A Dating App, And It Didn’t Work Out, But He Really Hit It Off With Her Ex-Husband And Son, And She Accused Him Of Being A “Sicko” For Getting Involved With Her Family

This guy recently matched with a woman on a dating app who was newly divorced and had a 19-year-old son. So, they decided to meet up last weekend, and she told him that her ex-husband had their son for the weekend.
Anyway, he and the woman had a nice time together, and when they woke up on Sunday morning, she went to grab breakfast for them at a local cafe.
So, he stayed back, waiting at her house, and her ex-husband and son wound up returning home.
He immediately hit it off with the woman’s ex-husband, too, and thought both the guy and his son were really cool.
They bonded over being big fans of Manchester United. He also found out that the ex-husband had been trying to buy tickets for a really long time, but it was practically impossible to score some seats at a game.
“So, I took the dad’s number and told him I would try to sort him out because I’m a season ticket holder,” he recalled.
After that, the woman returned, and she didn’t seem to care that he and her ex were chatting together.
However, the very next day, she wound up texting him and claiming that, while she had a nice time, she didn’t think they were compatible for a relationship.
He completely understood that, too. But he still remained in contact with the woman’s ex-husband.

In fact, he was able to land both the guy and the guy’s son some tickets to a mid-week game. He even went with them since their seats were next to each other, and he wanted to show them around.
“We went to the pub afterward as well,” he added, “And the kid said it was the best day of his life.”
Not to mention, he is actually an emergency doctor, and it just so happens that the guy’s son wants to become a doctor. So, he was able to provide some advice and even told the teen that he might be able to get him an internship at the hospital in the future.
And because of that, and how well everything went at the game, he was actually invited to the ex-husband’s fortieth birthday party!
Now, word did get back to the woman he met on a dating app, and she found out about both the game and his birthday party invitation.
So, she called him up, claimed that she was uncomfortable that he was getting involved with her family, and instructed him to cut off the friendship.
This pushed him to reach out to her ex-husband and explain what happened. He also said he could no longer attend the birthday party but told the ex that he could still help out with tickets whenever needed.
Well, the woman’s ex-husband actually insisted that he attend the birthday party.
“Saying that the kid is looking forward to seeing me and that he needs good role models in life,” he said.
So, he wound up going despite the woman’s wishes, and he met their entire family and friends. There was also great food being served, and he was genuinely enjoying himself.
By the middle of the party, though, the woman decided to take him outside to the garden and seriously screamed at him– accusing him of being a “sicko.”
This pushed him to immediately leave, giving the ex-husband a random excuse, and drive home.
Later on, the ex-husband did reach out– claiming to have heard about what happened from the woman. The ex even went so far as to call her a jerk and insisted that they remain friends.
“And I also want to remain friends with him, and the kid is great,” he vented.
Still, he really isn’t sure how to maintain his friendship without disrespecting the woman he met on a dating app. He’s also been left wondering if going to the game with the woman’s ex-husband and son was a jerky thing to do in the first place.
Do you think he owes the woman anything? If he really hit it off so well with her ex-husband and son, is there anything wrong with maintaining the friendship? Do you believe he’s in the wrong here or not?
