She’s Sharing A Helpful Agenda Of What To Do After You’ve Already “Rotted” Half Of Your Day Away And Are Starting To Regret It

Have you been seeing the term ‘rotting’ circulate on social media? Rotting is the new word to describe lazy, sometimes depressive behavior. It’s like when you lay around in bed all day, and someone says you’re rotting your day away.
Many people in younger generations have been sharing their experiences with having a ‘rotting’ day or week due to mental health or laziness, while others have shared tips on how not to rot away when something tough happens.
But what do you do when you’ve rotted away almost half of your day and then suddenly want to turn things around?
You know, like when you have a super lazy day, then realize it’s almost 3:00 pm, and you’ve done nothing productive, and you start to panic?
Have no fear; TikTok creator Raven (@lifeasraven), who has all sorts of advice videos on ‘rotting,’ is here to help.
Recently, Raven made a viral video breaking down her agenda for ‘when you’ve already rotted away half of your day.’
“Here’s what you’re gonna do if you’ve already rotted half the day away and you kinda regret it,” says Raven.
Raven’s agenda starts at 3:00 pm, which many of her viewers agreed is usually when they realize they’ve lost a lot of productivity time.
From 3:00 pm to 3:10 pm, Raven says to start moving your body slowly by putting your feet on the ground, getting up, opening your blinds, using the bathroom, and stretching for just one minute.

Then, you need to take five minutes to change out of whatever pajamas or sweats you wore and put on some loungewear that you can wear inside and outside your home.
From 3:15 to 4:00 pm, Raven says to make yourself a meal, whether it be breakfast or lunch, and do it while listening to something, whether it be music, a podcast, or some ASMR.
“Then you’re gonna eat, but not in your sleeping area if you can,” says Raven.
After you’ve eaten, from 4:05 pm to 4:20 pm, Raven says to go outside for a nice, short walk. You can walk for five to 15 minutes, with the latter being only three to five songs worth of walking time. So, if you want to, put on some headphones, pick three of your favorite songs to walk to, and then return home.
Raven has the walk written down as a reason to get some sunlight exposure and fresh air during your day.
From 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Raven says to take the time to get any ‘digital to-dos’ out of the way. This is the time to write or check emails, type up your grocery list, order something, etc. However, don’t sit in bed or your bedroom to do this if you can. Take your laptop and sit in your living room or dining room to switch things up.
“From 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm, you’re gonna reward yourself with fun internet time,” says Raven.
Then, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, you should make yourself dinner and still avoid eating in your bedroom or sleeping area.
Now, it’s time to wind down. From 8:15 pm to 9:00 pm, Raven says to take a shower, do some skincare, put on your pajamas, and have a little sweet treat of your choice.
Finally, you have from 9:00 pm to midnight to relax in bed with your favorite laid-back nighttime activity like watching a show, reading a book, or being on your phone. But you must have the lights off and your eyes closed, ready to fall asleep by midnight.
And that’s it! Raven’s agenda provides a chill way to finish your day feeling like you did at least one good thing for yourself. It’s a plan that doesn’t require too much physical and mental work; it’s just something to get you through the day with a bit of self-care and productivity.
Raven’s video has received over a million likes since being posted to TikTok, and her viewers really appreciate having a laid-out routine for days like that.
“This is so helpful, thank you!” commented popular TikTok creator Elyse Meyers.
“This makes me feel safe,” commented another user.
The next time you find yourself not feeling great about your day and begin to stress about it being late to turn things around, try out Raven’s routine, get some proper sleep, and hang in there. You’ll be alright!
