Coffee Mug Holder
A coffee mug holder will take about a day to build from a wooden pallet. All you need to do is cut a pallet to a smaller size, sand and paint it however you like, and add hooks for the mugs.
You can leave the wood exposed to highlight its rich, complicated texture or paint it white for a more neutral, contemporary look. Every morning, you can wake up with a sense of satisfaction as you reach for a mug hanging on a board you made with your own hands!
Wine Rack
Show off your wine collection with a handmade pallet wine rack. You’ll need to measure out the appropriate amount of space for the wine bottles and glasses. Remove some of the slats from the pallet to create openings for the bottles.
Make sure it’s sturdy enough to hold the weight of the bottles. Then, secure it to the wall in your kitchen for easy access during dinner parties.
Kitchen Backsplash
A kitchen backsplash made out of wooden pallets will be a real conversation piece. So, if you want to spruce up your kitchen, incorporate a few panels of raw, weathered wood to give your home some rustic elegance. Cut the boards into sections that will fit your kitchen. You can opt to seal the boards to keep them protected from moisture.
Sectional Sofa
Craft a cozy sectional sofa that you can ease back on with a glass of wine, secure in the knowledge that you paid far less for this project than you would’ve at a furniture store.
Form the base with a double layer of pallets and add foam padding and upholstery fabric. Your new sofa can provide extra legroom and serve as storage space for books, pictures, or laptops that can be neatly stashed underneath.
