A New Study Has Found That Living On A Greener Street Or Having Water Views Can Improve Sleep Patterns And Lead To Longer, More Restful Slumber

So, the findings indicated that only 17% of those residing on green streets experienced less than six hours of sleep per night, in contrast to 22% of individuals living away from green areas who reported the same sleep duration.

“While a 5% difference may seem small, these findings are comparable to the difference in sleep between people who are coping on their present income and those under financial strain,” concluded Dr. Matthew White, the study’s co-author.

“With money worries widely recognized as an important determinant of sleep, we think this demonstrates street greenness should be recognized by governments as an important public health issue.”
