It’s no secret that the cost of living in America feels higher than ever. Trying to make a living in this country when you don’t come from a wealthy family and have to juggle major responsibilities like school, children, housing, etc., can sometimes feel impossible.

These days, it feels as though more and more younger people are figuring out just how hard it is to make a comfortable living, and they’re angry about it.

Now more than ever, people are being more open about their struggles and trying to make ends meet, and social media has become a platform for these stories.

One TikTok user recently went viral after posting about how frustrated they are that they have to work four jobs on top of being a college student just to get by.

AK (@ripostegoddess) is a TikTok creator and college student in Tennessee who has been feeling overwhelmed lately and decided to rant to their TikTok followers.

“[Freak] you, America, for making me work four jobs while I’m in college in rural Tennessee,” screams a teary-eyed AK.

“I can barely pay my own rent, and I’m taking 19 credit hours on top of those four jobs, and I still can’t graduate on time.”

AK also expresses their frustrations that they can’t graduate school early and get a better job even though they’re signed up for a whopping 21 credit hours next semester. All of this has convinced AK that life in America simply is not fair, and it hasn’t been fair since they’ve been alive.

“I just want to live in peace, America,” says AK.
