Every time TikToker Zora (@spice0765) has conversations with the wealthy people who attend the Pilates class she leads, she is always thrown for a loop when they mention how much money they drop on a regular basis.

The other day, she had a conversation with a client about tennis shoes, which is usually a pretty safe topic. Zora was saying that she needed to get a new pair of tennis shoes for the upcoming fall season.

The client did not need new shoes, but she kept seeing that Miu Miu and New Balance collaborated on a shoe and wanted to buy it.

She planned to pick up a pair later on, especially if she saw Zora wearing them, so they could match. Out of curiosity, Zora looked up the shoes that her client was talking about and realized that they cost over $1,000.

She was shocked and also a little flattered that the woman thought she could afford shoes at that price. She couldn’t help but marvel at how different her reality was from her client’s.

For her, new sneakers were a necessary item for everyday wear.

For her client, they were simply another fashion accessory to add to what must be a closet already full of footwear.

It just goes to show that when you can blend in with rich people, you get a front-row seat to how wild their activities are.

Many TikTok users shared their own previous encounters with rich people who were similarly out of touch with the lives of ordinary people in the comments section.

“That’s like when I was struggling to find a good daycare, and the owner of the company I worked for suggested I just hire a live-in nanny. I’m like, do you know how much you pay me?” shared one user.

“She assumes you also have a rich family/husband and you teach Pilates so you can socialize, stay in shape, and make some extra money for treating yourself without a husband being nosy about it,” wrote another.

“I had a rich friend once, and she had a meltdown because I was hurt and not going to the doctor. She literally could not wrap her head around the fact that I cannot afford it,” stated a third.

“I did student teaching in Laguna Beach. I had my third graders write a paragraph about their weekend. One student wrote about going to Cabo in her grandpa’s private jet. You’re not even safe with the kids,” joked someone else.
