While at work on Valentine’s Day, TikToker Jayden (@.jayden___) witnessed some of the most diabolical couples come into his restaurant.
He thought he would be experiencing love in the air and happy couples all around, but everyone actually seemed to be in the worst moods.
From the start, his first table was already unhappy with their service. They ordered medium-well steaks. The table next to them ordered salads.
The salads came out just seconds before the steak, so they waved Jayden over to complain about how the other table got their food first.
He explained that the salads were quicker and easier to make, while the steaks took a little longer to cook. Then, the guy got mad because Jayden hadn’t checked on their food yet. The steaks came out right then, before the situation could escalate any further.
Later on in the night, the guy asked Jayden if the restaurant was offering free desserts for couples on Valentine’s Day. Jayden told him that they weren’t doing any free dessert specials.
The guy kept pushing the matter. He was furious, but still wanted to get a dessert anyway.
When Jayden brought out the dessert, the guy was upset by the lack of fanfare. He thought the servers might sing a song or do something special.
Jayden tried cracking some jokes with him, but he only received the death glare in return. He brought them the check, they paid, and left.

The next couple of the night wanted to move from a two-person table to a four-person one because they wanted to sit on the same side of the booth.
The girl started lying on top of her partner, watching something on his phone. Her feet were dangling over the booth. They ignored Jayden when he asked if they wanted anything to drink. The girl rolled her eyes at him as he walked away.
He came back to the table four times to check if they wanted to order any food, but they continued ignoring him. After 30 minutes, they asked to see a manager because no one had taken care of them. They ended up leaving and not ordering anything.
Jayden’s last table of the night walked out on their bill. They told him that his service was great and were instructed on how to pay.
But when Jayden returned with the to-go drinks they had asked for, they had already left—a classic dine-and-dash. Their bill came out to a total of $120, and they left Jayden a $2 tip.
In between those tables, a bunch of other people were just complaining about the wait time and that the food was subpar. He witnessed at least five different tables where the couples were arguing over who was paying.
“I don’t know what was in the air, but these people were just so angry,” said Jayden. “And I don’t know what to tell you other than to get couples therapy or break up because I haven’t done anything to you.”
