When TikToker Ajah (@ajah_lyelle) went to the store to pick up cleaning supplies, she experienced the scariest moment of her life.
While she was in the cleaning aisle, a man appeared seemingly out of nowhere. He came up behind her and complimented her outfit. He asked where her outfit was from, and she told him it was from Aerie.
He named the local shopping center that the store was located in, and she confirmed that was where she went for the outfit. She didn’t think much of the interaction at first and just continued to shop for cleaning supplies.
But then, he followed her into another aisle. She was clearly uncomfortable and kept backing away from him. As she got farther down the aisle, she realized that the man was blocking the only exit.
He continued chatting and mentioned that he needed stuff for his new cat.
Ajah pointed out that the pet aisle was a few aisles down. He asked if she could show him where it was, and she told him no. She walked away from the conversation and booked it to the self-checkout area.
She only ended up getting one cleaning product because she was feeling super unsafe and wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.
Suddenly, she sensed that someone was watching her. When she looked around, she saw the same man at the end of the self-checkout lane.
He was staring at her. Ajah went up to an employee and told them about the creepy man who followed her to the self-checkout area.

They got a male employee to escort her out to the parking lot, and she was on alert the entire car ride home.
Unfortunately, these situations happen way too often. If you ever experience something like this, Ajah’s advice is to make your situation known to a worker or any people nearby because you never know what might occur. Many TikTok users shared similar experiences with creepy men in the comments section.
“I recently had a weird dude following me in Target, so I started following him back (I’m also way older than you and filled with rage),” commented one user.
“One time at Walmart, I went with a friend in uni, and I kept seeing this man around, and this other lady approached us and said he was following us since we walked in and to be careful,” shared another.
“Had this happen to me in Long Island. I was alone with my baby. There were four men. I started screaming as loud as I could. Like, horror movie screaming. Everyone was looking, workers came over, and I told them what happened. They got held until the cops came. Make it as blown up as possible,” added a third.
