Most parents have their house rules, but according to a story shared to TikToker @.jmara by one of her followers, her dad had just one oddly specific rule: stay out of the garage and backyard.
This woman says that her father has always been socially awkward. He was also very secretive about their garage, and he didn’t want her or her mom to go in the backyard.
One time, when she was 17 years old, her father was out of town for work. Her mom said she could invite some friends over and have a small gathering in the backyard.
At the party, she noticed a girl standing in the corner next to the garage. She didn’t speak to anyone and looked dirty and grimy.
She just stood there the entire time without eating or drinking anything. Her friend asked if she had invited the girl, but she didn’t know who that girl was. At the end of the night, her mom came outside to help her clean up. When they were done, she went inside to get ready for bed.
While she was in the shower, she saw a human figure walk past the shower curtain. She thought it was her mom, so she poked her head out of the shower and called out for her.
But then, she looked down and saw the strange girl from the backyard squatting down next to the tub.
She screamed for her mom, but the girl disappeared. Her mom came running, but she didn’t mention the girl because she felt a little crazy.
When she got into bed, she heard something fall. She scanned the room but didn’t see anything, so she pulled down her sleeping mask and settled into bed.

Then, she felt someone slip into bed with her. She slowly pulled off her mask, glanced over, and saw the girl out of the corner of her eye.
The girl grabbed her face, and she couldn’t move. In that moment, she learned what had happened to the girl. The girl was buried, but the location was unclear.
The next day, her dad returned, and he was acting weirder than usual. She watched him from the window for a while. He stayed in the garage for a long time.
A week later, he had to travel for work again, so she took the opportunity to snoop around the garage. She wasn’t able to pick the lock, so she busted the glass window in and crawled through the hole. In the garage, there were a bunch of shovels and chemicals.
Recently, the girl showed up at her house again. This time, she just tried observing the girl. The girl spelled out the words “Help” and “Backyard.”
When her brother came home from college, she told him all about the ghost girl and how she wanted to dig in the backyard. They didn’t find any buried bones, but they did uncover some clothes. After a while, they gave up because they couldn’t dig up the entire backyard.
Once she had cleaned up and showered, the girl appeared again. She asked the girl if she was buried in their backyard, and the girl nodded her head.
