When TikToker Cindy (@proud_viking2) was a correctional officer, she came face to face with one of the scariest inmates in the prison. She used to work in the recreation department at the prison and was known as “Coach” to all the inmates.
One day, she was working during visitation hours because they were short-staffed. She saw an inmate kissing and canoodling with his wife.
However, they were only allowed a hug and a kiss at the beginning of visitation and at the end of visitation.
So, Cindy had to go over there and explain to him that he was not allowed to be doing this. He was mad and got right up in her face. She calmed him down and went back over to her post.
The sergeant on duty looked a little worried. He asked her if she knew who that inmate was. When she said no, he told her to make sure she always knew who she was talking to.
Apparently, this inmate was one of the guys involved in a case in Florida where a bunch of people were murdered over an Xbox. He happened to be one of the murderers.
Luckily, the visitation day ended without any issues. The next day, she went about her workday as usual. Suddenly, she spotted that inmate walking toward her.
She thought he was going to end her life right then and there. But he simply asked if he could speak to her. They pulled up a couple of chairs and sat down to have a conversation.
He proceeded to apologize to her for the way he behaved during visitation. His wife had reprimanded him about it. Once they had cleared the air, they stood up and shook hands.

She thanked him for coming to her as a man and an adult. His apology had meant a lot to her. He left, grinning from ear to ear.
The whole time, it had been completely silent because all the inmates were watching. Later, Cindy ended up calling the sergeant and telling him what had happened. He was relieved and glad that it had been a happy ending.
The next morning, Cindy got in line for breakfast. There was coffee cake that day, which was her absolute favorite. This inmate was working in food service and refused to let any of the other inmates prepare her tray.
She watched him make her tray, which consisted of coffee cake, oatmeal, and a cup for juice.
“I was still kind of scared of him, but every morning for breakfast, he was there,” Cindy said. “He would make my tray. He did not allow anybody else to make my trays.”
He ended up being transferred to another institution and was pulled from custody to go to court for a retrial. She doesn’t know what happened to him after that. He was one of three inmates whose hand she shook the entire time she worked at the prison.
