When TikToker @voiceandvigor’s sister, Cassandra, was 15 years old, she lied about being pregnant. She told the family one day while they were all gathered around the dinner table.
At first, their dad freaked out and demanded to know who the boy was, but she wouldn’t tell him. After he calmed down, the whole family was very supportive.
Once everyone at school found out, she lost a lot of friends. Only six people still wanted to hang out with her. One guy named Bobby claimed to be the father.
For some reason, everyone thought Bobby was cool for owning up to the responsibility, but continued to shame Cassandra.
At the time, their mom worked for a big company, and she set up a donation box so that people could contribute funds to help with the baby.
She collected $10,000 and gave it all to Cassandra. When the time came to purchase items for the baby, their dad asked if she would be using some of the money to pay for stuff.
She told him that she had gotten rid of the money because there was no baby. Then, she explained that this had been a little social experiment of hers to figure out who her real friends were. She also pointed out that the extra money would be better off with charity.
Many TikTok users were in awe of Cassandra for her commitment to the bit and how far she was willing to take her so-called social experiment.
Some shared similar fibs from their younger days involving fake pregnancies, while others questioned whether there might have been less chaotic ways to test the loyalty of her friends.

“I mean, technically, her social experiment worked. She made a hypothesis and found new information. I love a girl in STEM,” commented one user.
“My youngest brother was born when I was 15, and he used to tell people I was his real mom, but our mom adopted him, so I wouldn’t embarrass our family. He’s 22 now, and some of his friends still believe it,” shared another.
“I feel like there are much easier ways to figure out who your real friends are,” pointed out a third.
“My niece once got grounded by her mom, so she wrote on Facebook, ‘I don’t know what to do, just found out I’m pregnant at 15, really scared to tell my mom,’ knowing her mom would see it. Learned that day never to piss her off. Well-played,” added someone else.
Overall, Cassandra ended up achieving exactly what she had set out to do. She wanted to see who would stick by her during a life-changing event and began observing the results right away.
The fact that she was only 15 years old made the whole situation even more wild.
