Two days before their engagement party, TikToker Becca (@bexxcathleen) found out that her fiancé was cheating on her. When she arrived at his family’s house in Texas to celebrate Christmas, he told her that he needed to talk to her right away.
She knew something was off because he was supposed to have been packing, but nothing was packed. They were moving to California in five days.
He admitted that he had cheated with a random girl when they first started dating, but that it didn’t mean anything. Becca was having a hard time processing the fact that he had been lying and keeping secrets for their entire relationship.
She returned her ring and told him they would no longer be moving in together. They also needed to cancel their engagement party.
However, she still wanted to work things out.
Later, she talked to her brother-in-law, who managed a coffee shop. He told Becca that her fiancé met the girl he cheated on her with at the coffee shop because they both worked there.
Her brother-in-law was the one who had convinced Becca’s now ex-fiancé to tell her the truth. Apparently, they had been seeing each other since last January.
Eventually, she called her ex so they could sit down and talk. He swore that they had not been seeing each other for that long and stuck to his story about how it happened two weeks into dating Becca.
On the day of what was supposed to be her engagement party, Becca decided to message the girl from the coffee shop to hear her side of the story because she felt like the things he was saying weren’t adding up.

“She proceeds to tell me that they were seeing each other for 11 months,” Becca said. “And I find out that the last time they saw each other was a week before [he and I] went and looked at rings.”
The girl also revealed that he had messaged her, asking her to come over before he moved to California. She sent Becca a bunch of screenshots.
Afterward, Becca texted her ex and confronted him with her newfound knowledge. At first, he tried to deny everything, but she sent him all the proof, so he finally confessed.
Later, she sent him another long message, but it failed to deliver. That’s when she realized that he must have blocked her. She posted about it on social media.
His brother’s girlfriend informed her that he had changed his phone number. He had also deleted his social media accounts.
The girl he cheated with came over to talk to Becca. They shared stories and cried together since they both had their hearts broken by him. Becca even comforted her because this girl had been in love with her ex.
“Come to find out, two months later, she knew about me the whole time,” Becca said. “And I guess the reason that she actually came forward was because she found out we were engaged, and she was pretty much mad that he chose me.”
Months later, Becca saw her ex and some other girl at a church marriage conference. After one last phone call with him, he admitted that he had also been having one-night stands during their relationship. So, she had to go to the doctor for her own safety.
Two years later, she has healed from her heartbreak and is ready to start dating again. She learned a lot from that relationship and hopes to avoid making the same mistakes.
