The two firefighters who were found unconscious were identified as Ricardo Torres, Jr. and Lt. Samod Rankins.
Sadly, Ricardo ended up passing away from the injuries he received in the line of duty, while Samod remains in critical condition.
Tyrone Reed and Tyler Skolnik were two other firefighters also injured that night, and they have been released after being treated.

Ricardo’s dream job was to be a firefighter, and he joined the department two years ago. He leaves behind a pregnant wife and 1-year-old son.

The fire is still being investigated to determine what caused it, and a cause of death for Ricardo has not yet been identified.
