She Was Found Dead At The Bottom Of A Cliff And Her Ex Was Caught On Camera Carrying Her Lifeless Body

27-year-old Jerilyn Bessie Nicholson lived in Eagle River, a suburb located in Anchorage, Alaska.

Everyone called Jerilyn “Ani”. Her loved ones described her as a bright light and beautiful young woman that many people couldn’t help but enjoy being around.

On April 30th, Jerilyn was reported as missing by her father after her family couldn’t get a hold of her for several days.

The last time Jerilyn’s family saw her, she was at a relative’s house. Her ex-boyfriend Eddie Thomas Jr. picked her up, and nobody had seen her since then.

Jerilyn last texted one of her loved ones at 12:28 p.m. on April 25th, according to the Anchorage Police Department.

The hunt was on to find Jerilyn and police officers first asked her ex Eddie where she had gone.

Eddie claimed that he had driven Jerilyn back to his house on the day she went missing, but he said that she left his house not long after she had arrived.

Eddie went on to say that Jerilyn wanted alcohol, but he didn’t want to give her any, and that’s why she ended up leaving.

The day after Jerilyn disappeared, someone came across the body of a young woman lying at the bottom of a cliff near Eklutna Lake Road in Anchorage.

The young woman didn’t have any obvious indications pointing to why she had died and ended up at the bottom of the cliff.

According to court documents obtained by Chip Chick, authorities later identified the deceased woman as Jerilyn through her fingerprints.

Given that Eddie had truly been the final person to interact with Jerilyn before she was found dead, authorities circled back and asked him to come in for an interview.

During the interview with Anchorage Police, Eddie stuck to his story that Jerilyn left his house to go buy alcohol. He added that Jerilyn wanted to take a bath at his apartment.

Detectives at this point had gotten a photo off Jerilyn’s Instagram of her taking a bath, and when they showed it to Eddie he told them that was not his bathroom and not his bathtub that she was in.

After the interview was over, police officers took Eddie home, and then asked if they could come inside.

Eddie said yes, and the detectives realized the bathtub in Eddie’s home was the exact one Jerilyn had snapped a photo in.

Jerilyn’s phone records also pointed to her not leaving the area of Eddie’s home until 8:21 p.m. on the evening before she vanished.

Police then got their hands on video footage that showed Jerilyn leaving a liquor store while wearing a blue-colored plaid printed flannel shirt that they also had seen inside of Eddie’s home.

Authorities got more video footage from Eddie’s apartment building, and now they had Eddie on camera “carrying a lifeless human body” to his car.

He put the body in the passenger seat of his car before driving away from the apartment building.

“The body appears to be Jerilyn Nicholson due to hair color, hair length, physical size, and clothing which matches what she was wearing when found deceased at Eklutna,” authorities noted in the court documents.

Eddie was arrested and charged with quite a few things, including Misconduct Involving a Corpse, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Violating Conditions of Release.

As of right now, the medical examiner is still working to determine the cause of Jerilyn’s death. A GoFundMe page has been created to help raise money to cover the costs of her funeral, which you can donate to here.
