Officers quickly came out to look for Hannah, but torrential downpours soon swept through, and the conditions were too treacherous to continue the search.
The very next day, a man was out walking through the woods behind the apartment complex when he came across the body of a young woman lying in a ravine.
Sadly, Hannah was no longer missing.

Her official cause of death has not been released, as this is still an ongoing investigation, but police have made it known that she died in a dreadful way.
She had been stabbed several times and her body had been covered with water, so a lot of the evidence that may have been on her had been swept away with the rain.
Despite this major setback, there seemed to be a lot left for investigators to look into. They were made aware of a series of tweets that Hannah had recently made that certainly seemed sinister.
“I need to move out of these dang apartments,” Hannah tweeted the day before she vanished.
