Disabled Dad Drives His Wheelchair An Hour Every Day To Work And He’s Been Sadly Hit Several Times

“In that hour, he has to cross multiple dangerous intersections and roads, worry about getting rained on, extreme Florida temperatures…etc.,” a GoFundMe page created for David explained.

“David was hit by a car in front of Wells Fargo in 2008. Then, in 2017 David was involved in a hit and run on Stillwell Blvd on his way home from work, which destroyed his motorized wheelchair.”

On top of the fact that it’s an extreme struggle for David to get to work with just his wheelchair to rely on, he also is not able to see his 7-year-old daughter named Melina that much.

Melina lives in Pensacola, and his daughter is the only family member that lives somewhat close to him.

“When Melina comes to visit, she has to ride on his lap or walk beside him to go anywhere together,” the GoFundMe page created for David continued.

David’s friends are hoping to be able to raise enough money to help David buy a car that can get him to and from work and to and from seeing Melina.

If you would like to donate to help David get a car, you can do that here.
