She and her husband really did their best to support her, and she did bounce back when they gave birth to their son. Things are far from perfect with her mother-in-law, but things were good.
After the pandemic hit, she and her husband struggled had to be careful with their money, so they used a bit of her husband’s inheritance from his dad to have a tiny wedding ceremony.
Her mother-in-law wasn’t happy with the tiny ceremony, and she insisted on paying for them to have a bigger one.
She and her husband did accept her generous offer, and they planned a ceremony that still was on the smaller side because they did not want her to feel taken advantage of.
The day of the wedding arrived, and she was shocked to discover that her mother-in-law had Mindy with her.
“…My MIL approached us and we asked her what was happening, she said that she’d invited her to the wedding because it was a special day,” this woman said.
“My husband said that yes, it was a special day for us and that Mindy had no business being there and would appreciate it if she left.”
Her mother-in-law then asked her if she wanted Mindy to leave too, and she had no choice but to tell her that she would feel better if Mindy did leave.
Her mother-in-law was furious, throwing it in their faces that she was the one that had shelled out the money for their wedding, so she had the privilege to invite any person she so chose.
She and her husband agreed that she did have the ability to invite any guest she liked, but Mindy didn’t really count.
The couple also pointed out that she never even brought it up to them before the wedding.
