She can’t believe this is what her boyfriend is so offended over, because her company did tell everyone to dress in cocktail attire for the holiday party, and that’s what she did.
“But apparently he thinks that because I’ve never dressed up for any outings/dates we’ve gone on, that means he’s not worth dressing up for and I don’t care about him???” she continued.
“I explained that I do not dress up for anything but special events, of which we’ve never attended together.”
“He keeps the conversation circling back to his main “point” that I must not care about him and have never really cared about him for that matter. Because I never made an effort to get dressed up for him. He even said dropping me off at the party felt like he was taking me to a date with someone else.”
When she got home yesterday evening, her boyfriend was nowhere to be found and this marks 3 straight evenings where she’s had to sleep at home alone because he’s MIA.
So, her boyfriend is breaking up with her over a dress of all things, and she’s lost about what to do right now.
It sounds like her boyfriend is manipulative and jealous, and she’s probably better off without him.
