This Young Woman Was At Work Alone When A Homeless Man Walked In And Stabbed Her To Death

Los Angeles, California. 24-year-old Brianna Kupfer lived in Pacific Palisades and worked in Hancock Park at the luxury furniture boutique Croft House.

She had graduated from the University of Miami and then moved back to Los Angeles, where she was working towards obtaining her degree in architectural design from UCLA.

Brianna loved architecture and interior design as well, so working at Croft House was a perfect fit for her.

This past Thursday afternoon, Brianna had been working all by herself in the store with nobody else there with her.

A customer walked into Croft House located on North La Brea Avenue at approximately 1:50 p.m. and sadly was greeted with a gruesome scene; Brianna was lying on the floor, and someone had stabbed her to death.

This customer quickly dialed 911, and officers with the Los Angeles Police Department rushed down to the store.

“Detectives have determined the suspect was not known to the victim and was a random walk in to the store,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

“The suspect attacked the victim with a knife and fled the scene through the back door. There is no known motive at this time.”

“The suspect was last seen on video surveillance northbound in the alley to the rear of the crime scene.”

“The suspect is described as a male Black, unknown age, tall, thin, wearing a dark hoody, sunglasses, a white N-95 mask, dark skinny jeans, dark shoes, and carrying a dark backpack. Based on evidence discovered by detectives, the suspect is believed to be homeless.”

Speaking to CBS Los Angeles, a chiropractor by the name of Dr. Jennifer Botelho said that the homeless man who murdered Brianna walked into her office merely moments before he headed next door to Croft House.

The man wanted answers to several questions such as the care that Dr. Botelho provided, and he didn’t spend much time in her office at all. Then, he left.

“It’s terrifying. It’s horrible…such a young girl,” Dr. Botelho said before adding that she’s had issues with 4 different people over the last year coming into her office who did not have good intentions.

If you have any idea who Brianna’s murderer is, or if you have any information related to her case, the Los Angeles Police Department is asking that you call their West Bureau Homicide investigators at 213.382.9470.
