TikToker Jordan (@confessionswithjordan) shares stories from followers about anything from the paranormal to medical miracles.
Here, she is sharing a true story submitted anonymously by someone who calls themselves Jane. It is about her encounter with a serial killer from Tallahassee, Florida.
In January 1978, Jane and her friend were attending Florida State University. One night, they went out with their other friends to party and drink. They were at a bar when Jane realized she had lost her wallet. She asked the bartender if he had seen it, but he hadn’t.
“She reported her wallet stolen to the police to see if anything turned up because sometimes, if someone steals your wallet, they might throw it in the trash can, and then it might get turned in, but no luck,” narrated Jordan.
When Jane returned home, she checked everywhere, but her wallet seemed to be gone for good, so she just accepted it and moved on. There hadn’t been much money in it anyway. She got a new wallet and replaced her identification.
Sometime later, she received a call from the police, asking her to come down to the station. She didn’t know what it was about because she hadn’t done anything wrong that she knew of.
When she arrived at the station, a police officer asked her if she had lost her wallet recently. She said yes, and they informed her that they had recovered her ID from Ted Bundy when they arrested him.
“Now, we all know Ted Bundy was executed, but it took many years for that to happen, and she lived terrified because he had held onto her ID for however long until they recovered it,” said Jordan.
“He could have shown up at her house at any point in time. It’s worth it to note, in case you didn’t know, that during that exact time period, he had murdered quite a few people. Young women her age, dark hair, in the same area.”

In the comments section, some TikTok users shared their own stories about unknowingly encountering serial killers in daily life.
“I worked with a woman who said back when she was in college in Florida, an attractive man in Macy’s asked her to dinner, and she felt bad turning him down because she had to work. It wasn’t until years later that she saw him in the papers and realized it was Bundy,” commented one user.
“I lived down the street from the Golden State killer. My little sister was friends with his granddaughter and had been to his house a few times. You really just never know who your neighbors are!!” exclaimed another.
“My mom was like 12 to 13 and saw him in Michigan. He struck up a conversation with her, and her dad ended up seeing it and called her back. When he was arrested in Florida, she almost lost it when his picture came on the news,” added a third.
