Her Prom Date Showed Up In A Cosplay Outfit And He Ruined Prom For Her

“I’m really upset about this, but he also has a lot going on in his life and I don’t want to cause him to have a breakdown or make him feel as though I don’t accept him as he is by bringing it up and telling him I really didn’t appreciate that he dressed up in cosplay instead of formal wear.”

She’s planning on confronting her prom date for ruining everything since it’s weighing so heavily on her.

She is so hurt and betrayed that her friend didn’t agree to their plan and went completely off-script.

“I also don’t mean to be aggressive in the confrontation,” she said. “It made me really uncomfortable as I don’t tend to like being anywhere near a spotlight.”

She already thinks that she’s an “outcast” at her tiny school, and her friend made her feel even more like that on a night when she should have been able to forget about her problems and have a good time.

Senior year was so tough for her, and prom was supposed to be the highlight of her whole year.

“(I) told him how I was excited for prom because it’ll be a way to try and connect with some classmates before the year ends.”

How do you think she can best address her feelings with her friend and let him know that he destroyed her prom night?
