His Mom Made His Pregnant Girlfriend Sleep On The Floor

“An arrangement that my mum seems to not like, but one that she managed to keep her mouth shut about (my girlfriend tells me).”

Even though his mom has had it out for Rose for the last 5 months, Rose managed to have a nice conversation with her and pitched in to make dinner and do the dishes that night.

Chris ended up going to bed on the earlier side, and then it was just Rose all alone with his mom. His mom and Chris live in an apartment with 2 bedrooms, and because his mom has 1 bedroom and Chris has the other, Rose figured she could sleep on the living room couch.

“She apparently assumed wrong,” he said. “My mum gives Rose the thinnest blanket ever and basically screams at her, telling her that she has to sleep on the floor to not “ruin her couch.” She tells Rose to “make do,” with the pillows on the couch and the blanket that provides zero warmth.”

So Rose, who is 5 months pregnant, had to sleep on the floor and she couldn’t even sneak onto the couch because the entire night, his mom opened her bedroom door to check to ensure Rose was still on the floor.

When 5 a.m. rolled around, his brother Chris noticed that Rose was sleeping on the couch and he allowed Rose to go sleep in his room.

Chris was the one who turned around and told him, before insisting that he should not make this into a big deal.

It’s worth mentioning that Chris was on his side and thought what their mom did was cruel; he just wanted to avoid family drama.

“I did the exact opposite,” he continued. “I called my mum, very angry, and told her that she was disrespecting her so badly.”

“She tried to defend herself by saying, “that she didn’t harm the baby,” and “it’s okay for pregnant women to sleep on the floor,” but I refused to hear any of it.”

Do you think it was wrong for him to take on his mom for forcing Rose to sleep on the floor?
