She Flunked Out Of College And Has Kept This A Secret From Everyone In Her Life, Including Her Boyfriend

She has tried her best to work hard at her job and make the rest of her life seem like she has nothing to hide, yet she feels awful for especially keeping it a secret from her parents.

“No one who knows me would suspect me of this,” she said. “I’m a straight edge, by the book, goodie-two-shoes, a “sweetheart”, and by most people’s metrics, and (seemingly) intelligent young woman.”

Now, her boyfriend is from a very successful family and he’s doing great in his own career too. He’s supportive, sensitive, kind, and caring, but she doesn’t think he will accept her for not completing college if she lets him in on her big secret.

She’s falling in love with him and her greatest fear is losing him if she does let him know the truth.

“A part of me wants him to fall in love with me too,” she continued. “But would that make him finding out my secret an easier or harder pill to swallow?”

“When he asks me how school is going, I would say fine, and that’s so disgustingly deceitful. When in a relationship do you unveil your most unsavory transgressions? I desperately want to take this to the grave, but that feels wrong if I want a long relationship with him.”

She feels guilty not coming clean to her boyfriend, but she really does not want to tell him at all and risk him leaving her over it.

Do you think she should tell her boyfriend the truth?
