He thought it would be best to cancel his prom date last minute since he thinks he looks so ugly with his black eye and he’s concerned he’s going to upset or embarrass his date.
Once he did reveal to his date that his eye isn’t looking good, she was more worried about him and how he was feeling than how their prom photos will look.
In the end, he decided not to ditch her after all, and he’s going to prom anyway.
“I figured we could take some pictures with me angled in a way that you wouldn’t be able to see my eye, but that I thought my shiner could make for some fun memories,” he continued.
“She replied she was really hoping I’d wear makeup, but I said that I think it would be harmful to its healing if I did. She said she was looking forward to going too.”
“I’m not sure she’s wild about the idea of me not doing anything to hide my shiner, but we’re still going tonight and should have a good time!”
