Her Boyfriend Is $15,000 In Credit Card Debt And Now That His Parents Are Paying It All Off She Thinks This Is A Dealbreaker

“Unsurprisingly, his debt grew considerably over the year and he now finds himself nearly $15k in the hole between credit card debt and a maxed-out line of credit.”

“He’s gotten to a point where he asked his parents for help…but they are proposing paying for the entire thing – no parent loan.”

She was absolutely shocked to hear that his mom and dad were willing to pay off the $15,000 of debt her boyfriend is in, and she felt that was just excessive.

She doesn’t think her boyfriend is going to learn at all from his parents sweeping up the mess he has made, and that worries her.

Her boyfriend says he learned his lesson and he won’t make the same mistakes with money in the future, but she doesn’t believe him.

“I get that $15k isn’t the end of the world, but I just struggle with seeing a future with him where this difference in how we view money wouldn’t lead to irreconcilable differences,” she said.

She’s leaning towards this being a dealbreaker for her. Should she wait and see if her boyfriend really did learn his lesson, or should she move on?
