A week ago, she and her husband Eddy took Opal out for dinner to celebrate the excellent grades she could as the school year came to an end.
Kelly was invited, along with a few more of their loved ones. During dinner, Kelly got up out of her seat and told everyone that she and her boyfriend are having a baby.
She was not happy that Kelly stole Opal’s attention away at the celebratory dinner, and she managed to keep herself quiet.
Kelly then said that since Opal had been such a blessing, she and Eddy would be so thrilled to raise another child, and she could not keep quiet any longer.
She stopped Kelly and insisted that she wouldn’t be parenting Kelly’s second child, nor would she be buying anything her child needed.
Kelly lost it on her, and they all began arguing there at Opal’s dinner.
“Kelly called us heartless and claimed we were willing to throw our grandchild away,” she said. “Eddy and I called her selfish for expecting us to raise another child. We are too old to raise a baby.”
“Kelly is thirty-three and needs to grow up. Give the baby up for adoption or be a parent and raise it yourself.”
Kelly started sobbing and wound up leaving, and this whole incident has divided their entire family.
Some of her loved ones think that they made Kelly feel like they don’t care about her newborn baby, and the rest of her loved ones believe they should have said something to Kelly without everyone around.
She stands by what she said to Kelly; she’s done tip-toeing around the issues and she wants Kelly to grow up and be independent as well as responsible.
