“When I told her I’d rather her not talk to him anymore she said “I don’t have a choice do I” like, yeah you do have a choice, but that doesn’t mean I have one to make based on which one you make either.”
He then questioned his girlfriend about her feelings for him and if she loved him, to which she replied that she wasn’t sure she did.
His girlfriend started falling asleep on their call, but before she did, she sleepily insisted that she did love him, but she felt that she missed her ex a lot.
“And then I told her I’m not sure how I am supposed to feel when my GF says she loves me but then immediately says she misses her ex so she just told me to “forget it, I won’t talk about it anymore then, goodnight,” he continued.
He remained on the line while his girlfriend fell asleep, and he thought about how his girlfriend has had a lot of experiences and moments that she has shared with her ex-boyfriend.
It worries him that his girlfriend said she misses her ex, and he’s concerned that he can’t just drop everything to go visit her and see how she is in person with him.
He is organizing a trip to see his girlfriend this summer, and he’s hoping that after they do get to spend time together that it will help their relationship. He believes that his girlfriend never allowed herself the necessary time to get over her ex, and it’s starting to show.
“I’m beginning to think I’m answering my own worries and questions by simply saying “she’s not ready for a relationship with you,” he concluded.
