Her sister told her it was completely alright and she should say yes, but then her sister began acting weird.
“Said she was having a headache and went to sleep,” she explained. “My mom heard our conversation and snapped at me -told me I had no reason to try to steal my “sister’s boy”, that my sister has had deep feelings for this guy for years and I can’t just get here and damage their relationship.”
“Shocked, I told her I did not know my sister liked him. She told me she will send me back with my father if I hurt her daughter’s feelings, and left.”
She’s struggling with how to move forward here. If her mom wasn’t so angry about her agreeing to go on a date with this guy, she would have absolutely said yes: he’s handsome and kind.
Seeing that her sister really does like this guy though, it’s making her want to say no, even against her wishes.
“But as he is my sister’s crush, I don’t feel I can’t just go out with him like I normally would,” she continued.
“It feels just wrong. I would feel terribly guilty if my sister gets hurt. At the same time, I can’t shake off the feeling that I do want to know this guy better.”
Do you think she should say yes to a date with this guy, even if it means her sister might be upset with her?
