Snapchat Co-Founder Evan Spiegel And His Wife, Model Miranda Kerr, Covered The Debts Of This Los Angeles Graduating Class

“Otis is incredibly grateful for this historic gift from Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel, which will be life-changing for the class of 2022 and their families. Student debt weighs heavily on our diverse and talented graduates,” President Hirschhorn began.

“We hope this donation will provide much-deserved relief and empower them to pursue their aspirations and careers, pay this generosity forward, and become the next leaders of our community,” President Hirschhorn continued.

Otis College was established in 1918 and quickly became known as Los Angeles’ first professional school for the arts.

Ever since, alumni have gone on to dominate the creative industry– from winning Guggenheim grants and Oscar nominations to designing for some of the world’s most influential brands like DreamWorks, Nike, and Apple.

Both Spiegel and Kerr recognize the enormous footprint that Otis College has left on the Los Angeles art scene.

The pair described their gratitude for the institution and their hopes for the graduating class.

“Otis College of Art and Design is an extraordinary institution that encourages young creatives to find their artistic voices and thrive in a variety of industries and careers,” the couple said.

“It is a privilege for our family to give back and support the class of 2022. We hope this gift will empower graduates to pursue their passions, contribute to the world, and inspire humanity for years to come,” Spiegel and Kerr added.
